Bio Note: In the Averys of Groton, the author, Mr. Sweet, cites a Rhoda DOUGLASS as the wife of Richard Armstrong. Rhoda would have been Richard's second wife, and hopefully, the mother of Ruth Armstrong who married John C. Armstrong in 1790, thus making the relationship of Ruth Armstrong (1769) to John C. Armstrong (1751) fifty percent less incestuous (i.e., sibling/spouse to step-sibling/spouse).
