Note: The sons of John O. and Maggie Brawley lost their parents at a young age. For a time the boys lived with Maggie's sister, Betsy Parker, who eventually lost the land given to the boys by their grandfather. After Betsy's death, an Edwin Falls was assigned as guardian (ca 1856), and the children went to live with James "Big Wash" Brawley, working for their keep.
